The main association: Clio'92

CLIO ' 92 is an association of history teachers, professors and academics reunited in 1998 with the aim to explore and give impetus to theoretical and applied research on history teaching and learning processes.

Our ambition is to maintain history school courses linked to the newest historical research developed by experts, and to apply, at the same time, an updated pedagogical approach to history lessons.

Our views on the teaching of history are manifested in the dissertation published in 2000 in the first issue of the magazine "I Quaderni di Clio", updated in the national assemblies of members that are held annually and published on the website of the Association www.clio92.it.

The president of the association, is actually Professor Ivo Mattozzi.

Our acacemic participations allowed us to have a great impact on schoolbooks publishers and university courses in Education, and currently, the approach to history teaching, in Italian primary school, is the one mentioned by Clio.

Clio ' 92 promotes research groups, promotes knowledge of experiences and innovative educational materials, holding training courses for teachers.

Clio ' 92 is accredited by the Ministry of education to hold teacher training and refresher courses on teaching methods.

Clio ' 92 triggered a circuit of ideas, in which researchers, experimenters, trainers may introduce, compare, and enrich the contents and methodologies of their own work, the results of their act smart and passionate about teaching history in primary, middle and high school.
